Although the first sightings of the sun are good for morale, it is known that UV rays induced by the sun are bad for the skin. The UVB rays very powerful but short attack the skin's surface and the first result is the sunburn. The UVA rays are less powerful than UVB but penetrate deeper into the skin and are responsible for premature skin aging, sun intolerance but also the appearance of skin's cancers. The important when we are exposed to the sun, is to ensure to use a sun protection in line with its skin type and ensure a maximum efficiency. La Roche-Posay Laboratories has developed the ANTHELIOS XL range which includes products perfectly adapted and whose effectiveness is proven for each skin type.

ANTHELIOS XL 50+ Extreme Fluid is specially designed for skin prone to solar intolerance.

Properties

ANTHELIOS XL 50+ Extreme Fluid contains :

• MEROXYL® SX and MEROXYL®XL Filters
• These are complementary filters offering a very high protection against UVA and UVB. They work in synergy, the MEROXYL®SX is photostable and protects essentially from UVA. MEROXYL®XL provides a protection against both UV and UVB.
• SPF 50+ and PPD 32
• Protection index recommended by the EEC are values calculated in laboratory and determine the efficiency of various solar products : the higher the SPF or Sun Protection Factor, the greater the effectiveness of UVB protection is optimized. The same goes for the PPD or Persistent Pigment Darkening, which measures the effectiveness of UVA protection.
• Senna Alata Extract
• It's a tropical plant that has a system of self protection against the sun and which will enhance the effectiveness of MEROXYL® filters.
• La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water
• It is very rich in Selenium, a trace element fighting against free radicals. It also has soothing and anti-irritant virtues.

Results

Very sensitive or intolerant to the sun skins are guaranteed to receive maximum protection against the damage of UV rays.

Directions for use

Apply ANTHELIOS XL 50+ Extreme Fluid before exposure to the sun and reapply every 2 hours and especially after each swim.

Avoid exposing too long and mainly between 10AM to 16 PM.
